Great Tent

I have had this tent for 3 years now. I use this tent 7-8 months out of the year (2 months using backpack tent) (Boy Scouts). This tent is a great tent. Veritical Walls, room to stand (when not using gear loft). Windows at floor (cot) level are perfect. The setup and take down are a breeze. The ability to close up the vent and windows is a great feature to keep winter air flow out. The full fly is a must for me. I also use 2 hiking poles to hold up the vestibule "door" to create a sun shade -perfect for 1 chair. I have 1 complaint though -when the vestibule is rolled up (open) and there is rain it holds the water and also allows the water to drip onto the door where it enters the tent through the zipper. A better design here would be nice.

Overall, for me, the perfect tent!.

I love this tent, with caveats

I've owned this tent for about 5 years. I love the space, the materials are high-quality and durable, it is easy to put up and take down. It easily accomodates two cots with plenty of space for gear. It has been through some major rainstorms and not leaked a bit. It's a very reliable tent.

There are two features that I wish were better designed. The first is the zippers on the fly. The flaps covering the zipper are flopping and frequently get caught in the zipper when unzipping, especially from the inside. And the zipper pull is very difficult to reach from the inside if fully closed. I could reach it if the fly did not angle down so sharply from the front of the tent, which is my second design criticism. I can store items in the vestibule but I can't really stand in it to open or close the tent door without unzipping the fly first. This is particularly a problem if I need to leave the tent at night when I have everything zipped up.

Overall, this is a great tent with a few issues. I will be more aware of fly design for my next tent.
